Leita Advisory Founder & President, Anna Dunn Tabke, CFA, CAIA, recently shared her perspective with FundFire for its article examining Spider Management’s distinctive single-portfolio approach.
Spider Management stands apart from many OCIO providers by offering clients access to the same portfolio managed for the University of Richmond. This model contrasts with much of the OCIO market, where customization has become a central part of the value proposition.
Across the endowment and foundation landscape, we see institutions increasingly seeking tailored OCIO solutions, particularly as they navigate legacy illiquid alternatives and evolving liquidity needs.
There is no single “right” OCIO model. The important question is whether a provider’s investment approach, portfolio structure, and capabilities align with the specific needs of each institution.
Thank you to Richard J. Chang and FundFire for including our perspective in this timely conversation.
